What We Believe

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is God's complete revelation to humanity and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Through the Scriptures, we come to know God's character, His will, and His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.

The One True God

We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and united in perfect love and purpose.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe He will return personally and visibly in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe salvation is the free gift of God, available to all who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life. Salvation results in a transformed life empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct and empowering experience available to every believer after salvation. This baptism equips believers with power for holy living, bold witness, and effective ministry.

We believe the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, while recognizing that the Spirit also produces Christlike character and empowers believers for service.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and are given to build up the Church, glorify Christ, and advance the Kingdom of God. We encourage believers to pursue spiritual maturity while exercising the gifts in love, humility, and according to biblical order.

Divine Healing

We believe Jesus Christ is our Healer and that divine healing is provided through His atoning work. We believe God continues to heal physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually according to His sovereign will. We faithfully pray for the sick, trusting God for His healing power.

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, equip believers, serve the community, and demonstrate God's love to the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Water Baptism and Holy Communion

We believe water baptism by immersion is an outward testimony of an inward work of grace and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe Holy Communion is a sacred remembrance of Christ's body and blood, proclaiming His sacrifice until He comes again.

The Blessed Hope

We believe in the glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will come again to fulfill His promises, establish His Kingdom, and reign forever. Until that day, we are called to live faithfully, proclaim the Gospel, and eagerly await His appearing.
